Downhill mountain biking is one of the most extreme and exciting styles of mountain biking. While this extreme sport is enjoyed at a challenging level by professionals, we have created this experience to be enjoyed by anyone who can ride.
Our adventure takes place on the infamous Sri Lanka Gravity Trail. The trail that we will be following is of an international standard and is a culmination of the natural trail with some features added on for safety and adherence to parameters. It is the only downhill track in Sri Lanka.
Bikers will enjoy freewheeling down this track as pedaling is at a minimum. There’s no need to be anxious as our experts are on hand to provide you with instructions on everything you need to know about downhill mountain biking. The bikes and safety equipment will be provided by us as part of the package.
Operation Hours
Mountain biking is available during daylight hours when trail visibility is good, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM, to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

Start Up at the Action Center
Start your mountain biking adventure at the Rapid Adventure's Action Center, where our friendly team will welcome you and get you geared up for the ride ahead.
Master the ride — safety & skills briefing
Spend 20-30 minutes with our expert guides getting briefed on safety, bike handling, and the trail ahead. Next, jump onto the truck for a scenic ride up to the top of the mountain , the official starting point of your downhill journey.
Scenic ride downhill
Feel the adrenaline as you pedal and coast your way down the mountain, passing stunning viewpoints and perfect photo spots to capture the adventure.
Return to Action Center
Wrap up your ride with a smooth finish as we take you back to the Rapid Adventure's Action Center, where you can relax, share stories, and relish the memories from your downhill biking experience.

An absolutely exhilarating ride!
An absolutely exhilarating ride! The team at Rapid Adventures really knows how to run a professional and exciting mountain biking tour. They started us off with proper gear and a solid safety briefing. Then it was up the mountain in a truck with beautiful views, and finally the ride of a lifetime downhill! The trail had perfect mix of speed, scenery, and safe terrain. The staff were supportive from start to finish. If you're into outdoor adventures, don’t miss this!

Had a fantastic day downhill mountain biking with Rapid Adventures! From the first hello at the Action Center to the final ride back, the service was excellent. The guides gave us a proper rundown on how to handle the bikes and navigate the trail. The uphill truck ride was scenic, and the downhill biking was thrilling but safe. The trail was fun, the views were amazing, and the team made everything easy and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be doing this again soon!

A must do if you're in the area! Rapid Adventures offered a well planned and adrenaline filled mountain biking tour. We started at their Action Center with a helpful team who provided great gear and a clear briefing. The truck ride to the starting point gave us a sneak peek of the views, but biking down the mountain was the highlight. Amazing scenery, safe trails, and fantastic guides made the whole experience smooth and fun. I’ll definitely come back for another ride!

Downhill mountain biking at Rapid Adventures was a total blast! The guides were super friendly and gave a solid safety and trail briefing before we headed out. The ride up to the mountain was relaxing, and the downhill trail was full of fun twists and turns with great views. Downhill biking with this adventure crew was incredible! Everything was well organized, starting with a solid safety briefing and a friendly welcome at the Action Center. The truck ride to the top was scenic, and the ride down? Absolutely thrilling! The trail had amazing views, and the bikes were in top condition. I appreciated how the guides kept things exciting but safe. This is hands down the best biking experience I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend to any local thrill seekers!

What a ride! This downhill mountain biking tour was the perfect adventure. The team welcomed us at the Action Center with great energy.
