The rafting adventure will take you down 3 to 3+ level rapids with 3 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. The view around the river is breathtaking, and you will see birds and wildlife all around.

Water levels are controlled by the Borderlands Hydropower Station. Rafting is safe and enjoyable only during these hours.

We had an amazing time with Rapid Rafting in Kitulgala! We booked the Day Out option and it was the perfect mix of adventure and fun. The day started with a short safety briefing from our instructor, who clearly explained how to handle the rapids. He also took a few great photos of us before we set off, which was a nice touch. Halfway through the rafting route, we stopped and hiked to a nearby river where we could slide down natural waterfalls and jump into refreshing rock pools — such a fun and unique experience! We loved that our guide filmed all these moments for us, so we have some awesome videos to look back on. Afterwards, we got back to our raft and continued down the river, finishing off with a swim in the calmer waters. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and made sure we had a great time. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an adventurous day out in Kitulgala!
