Our family of three had an unforgettable experience at borderlands! We stayed in a cozy wooden hut by the river, which was a unique and rustic accommodation option that we all loved. The rafting and canyoning activities were the highlight of our trip. The guides were very experienced and made sure we were safe while still having a great time. We loved the rapids and the stunning scenery around us.The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed dining in the restaurant with beautiful views of the river. Overall, we highly recommend borderlands for families looking for a unique and exciting adventure in Sri Lanka.
Totally worth it
After staying in many towns, this place opened our eyes to the most amazing nature to be had in Lanka, and ended up staying for weeks while we worked on our laptops! Totally worth it as we woke up to amazing views, birds, flavourful cooked food with so many activities to take advantage of. Definitely one of the most memorable places we've been to so far.
Truly brilliant and beautiful experience
Truly brilliant and beautiful experience. The wooden river side cabins on stilts looking onto the most beautiful tropical river setting. White water rafting over the famous 'Bridge over the river Kwai' setting.... canyoning and so much more. This was still possible for our 6 and 4 year old due to the expertise and safety concious guides who looked after us so well. The kids loved it! The surroundings are epic, come rain or shine, it's a truly magical experience. The food was also very good and caters for all. Think rustic, charming, tropical paradise.

One of my best stays at Srilanka! Highly recommend for anyone that wants to escape the urban world! Their hospitality, food, service, it was all top notch! And their water activities!!!! Totally worth every penny! Can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for being a wonderful host!
The staff is truly amazing
We had a wonderful stay of 2 days at Wanakaset. The Glamping offers a couple of rooms with a view over the jungle. It has one room with a 180 degree view over the jungle. Same view is there one story down from the joint room below. What a view, the birds and monkeys are around you. We had fun when the monkeys were playing at and in the pond. The staff is truly amazing. They offered me a coffee early morning while i was up early for birdwatching. They serve vegetarian local meals which are prepared with ingredients from the jungle. If you can get over the luxury of a swimming pool and a menucard, then this is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Fantastic ecofriendly lodge, just next to the river. Beautiful views. Also, we were helped by the ever friendly staff and a wonderful chef who prepared delicious lunch and dinner for us.
