The house was impeccably clean
The house was impeccably clean and our group of 10 people had a good stay. The kitchen staff were very helpful. They also accommodated a slightly late departure after our morning safari, even though they had a new group arriving later that afternoon. The home has a nice pool and the grounds are kept manicured.
The food options are limited but the taste is amazing
This place is located around 25 minutes from Yala national park. The staff kavisha, kumara and dulaga are very helpful and attend to your every need diligently. The food options are limited but the taste is amazing. The property itself is newly built and will improve with the feel being of a place still waiting for things to be built fully. There’s a nice pool and swing and the rooms themselves are very spacious with all the required amenities
it’s a good place for couples
Amazing getaway in Yala. Beautiful place. It has two cozy AC bedrooms (King sized double beds) with private bathrooms. There’s a dorm that can accommodate 8 people ( 8 single beds with nets). Interior is lovely. Suitable to go with your friends and to relax. Of course it’s a good place for couples. There’s a caretaker, who’ll arrange what you like. They prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes that will make your taste buds dance with joy. Also they arrange you a safari jeep if you want to visit the park. Apart from visiting the park you can do a small stroll to the nearby lake, Nimala weva. Best time to do the stroll is early morning or in the evening. If it is in the evening make sure you’ll be back before it’s dark.

I had a wonderful stay at Hide Yala. The interconnected rooms were clean and perfect for our group, and the hospitality was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuine. Special thanks to Kumara and Naveen . Plus, it's only a half-hour drive to the Palapatuna main entrance. Highly Recommended.
Hide Yala is really clean, comfortable
Really serene and quiet place which is less than 20mnts from the Yala Palatupana entrance. Hide Yala is really clean, comfortable and has a beautiful jungle as its front yard. The patio outside the dorm room is perfect for waking up to watch the sunrise and for checkingout safari pics in the eve with some super tea. Has in-house WiFi as well. The cook / caretaker is a great host who makes some amazing meals and is always willing to customize it as per your palate. Dont forget to ask for the freshly fried freshwater fish with a dash of lime... thats the best! Overall, 5 stars!
